Austria Festival 10-15 May 2027

An exceptional event organised by IWFS in conjunction with Winekeller and celebrating the wines, food and culture of Austria. The 6 day Austrian festival starts in capital city Vienna, then onwards to the spectacular Wachau Valley, Austria’s most celebrated wine region. 

Based in Krems for 2 nights, the days will be spent at private tastings and cellar visits at some of Austria’s most respected estates, including Domäne Wachau, Weingut Prager, Schloss Gobelsburg and Nikolaihof. There will be a gala five-course dinner with paired wines at two-Michelin-starred Landhaus Bacher. 

Next en route is Burgenland, Austria’s warmest wine region and home to some of the country’s finest red wines, particularly Blaufränkisch. We will take a leisurely wine-focused boat trip on Lake Neusiedl and spend 2 nights in the historic wine town of Rust.

The final day explores Mittelburgenland with a visit to K+K Kirnbauer. The tour concludes with a four-course dinner and local wines at Freistein in Rust.
